Convert HEIC to JPG in Seconds

According to Apple's official HEIF format documentation, HEIC has been the default photo format on iPhone since iOS 11 (see Apple's support article) — it squeezes better quality into roughly half the file size of an equivalent JPG. The problem is that this efficiency only pays off inside Apple's ecosystem. File sizes stay manageable — a 4 MB HEIC typically becomes a 3–5 MB JPG at 85% quality, which is small enough to email directly and accepted by virtually every file size limit you will encounter.

That matters for personal or sensitive shots — medical images, legal documents photographed on an iPhone, private family photos. Pick HEIC to PNG instead if you need lossless output for heavy editing; pick HEIC to PDF if you need a printable document.
