About EasyConvertTools — Free Browser-Based HEIC Tools

Why we built this

Most online converters upload your file to a server, process it remotely, and hand it back. That approach is slow, requires trust, and creates privacy risk — especially for photos, documents, and files that contain personal data.

EasyConvertTools started with a simple frustration: iPhone photos in HEIC format that wouldn't open on a Windows PC, in an email client, or on a website upload form. We built a converter to fix that, then kept going — adding image converters, document converters, color tools, and data converters, all running entirely client-side.

Every tool on this site runs inside your browser tab using JavaScript, the Canvas API, and WebAssembly libraries where needed. There is no upload step because there is no server doing the work. Your file is read locally, converted locally, and handed back to your downloads folder — nothing ever leaves your device.

What we believe

Conversion tools shouldn't require an account, a credit card, or a leap of faith about where your files are going. Every tool on this site is free, requires no signup, and works the same on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, and Android — because it runs in the browser you already have.

Keeping conversions client-side also means the tools stay free. Without server infrastructure processing every file, there's no usage cost to recover through subscriptions or per-file fees. The tools exist to solve a problem, not to monetize a workflow.

New formats are added regularly based on what people actually run into in daily use.

Who it's for

The tools are built for anyone who hits a compatibility wall — an iPhone user whose photos won't open on a Windows PC, a designer who needs a HEX code from an RGB value, a developer converting JSON data to a spreadsheet, or anyone who just needs a file in a different format without installing software or uploading it to a third-party server.

Privacy

EasyConvertTools has no database, no user accounts, and no file storage. Every conversion runs entirely inside your browser tab. The file you drop in is read by JavaScript running on your own device — it is never transmitted to a server, never logged, and never stored. Once you close the tab, nothing remains.

The site uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data — pages visited, browser type, and general location — with no personally identifiable information attached. No cookies are used beyond what Analytics requires. No advertising trackers are present.
